Developing musicality in children of younger school age through children's opera Budulínek while studying at ZUŠ Borovany

A theoretical work in which the development of the child of younger school age will be described in the introductory chapters in terms of physical, cognitive, emotional development and socialization. This will be followed by a brief outline of the influence of music on child development and a description of the development of musicality in children in the areas of musical hearing, rhythmic, tonal and harmonic sensitivity. The main part of the thesis will deal with a particular singing group from the Borovany Elementary School and their thematic project Fairy Tale Forest, the main part of which was the preparation of the children's opera Budulínek by J. Uhlíř and Z. Svěrák. This section will describe the outline plan and preparation process for the project, including a few selected activities and activities that serve to develop children's musical skills.

TITLE: Popular Song in Piano Teaching ABSTRACT: Diploma thesis delas with the theme of popular songs in piano teaching. The thesis contains research which investigates the use and popularity of popular songs in piano teaching from the piano pedagogues' perspective. In addition, the thesis narrows this extensive topic to ten selected popular songs, their arrangements respectively created specifically for this thesis's purpose, to demonstrate their use in piano teaching on. Six of them are intended for little pianists, four are intended for advanced students. There is a theoretical part discussing selected aspects of elementary piano pedagogy which are applied in piano arrangements in the practical part of the thesis. The influence of music and the development of musicality in children up to 6 years

The bachelor thesis describes the musical development of the child from the beginning of the mother's pregnancy to the age of six years. It focuses mainly on musical influences, which can be both positive and negative. The theoretical part is focused on explanation of basic terms, such as musicality, musical activities, musical abilities, skills, habits and talents, rhythmic feeling and music memory. The work also deals with the outline of musical activities in the child's life from birth to the end of pre-school education. In the practical part there are basic data about two different kindergartens, in which activities with children aged three to six years were realized. A brief description of these musical activities is also part of the work. The main aim of the thesis is to observe children during their musical activities and to develop their musicality. The work includes reflections and musical notes.
Stories as the main device for learning elemental flute techniques

Based on the author's multidisciplinary studies and practical experience, the bachelor thesis presents use of new didactic material for teaching elemental recorder skills to preschool aged children in elementary arts schools. Experimental teaching verifies possibilities and influences of musical stories on the development of children's musical skills as well as on their expected social and personal skills at the beginning of the sensitive period.
